Nokia G42 5G launched in India at an attractive price tag of just ₹12599

Nokia Mobile announced the launch of the Nokia G42 5G in India on 6th September and since then has been busy teasing the price of the device. Initially, the phone was expected to be priced at around ₹15000, but everyone was surprised today after Nokia Mobile revealed the price. Nokia G42 5G has been priced very competitively at just ₹12599, and it's a dream come true for every Nokia Fan out there. Above all this, Nokia Mobile has also roped in Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur to push the Nokia G42 5G in India. 

Nokia G42 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 480+ processor and is promised to receive 3 years of security patches and 2 major Android OS upgrades. For now, only the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is listed, but a 256GB variant is said to be launched shortly. There's also an option of Virtual RAM that can be turned on to expand the RAM by up to 5GB.

Nokia G42 5G is the only stock Android smartphone in this price range that will receive Android 15 and monthly security patches for 3 years. This makes it a very good option for people who want a clean Android experience with regular updates at this price point. The design too is subtle and minimal with two good color options to choose from: So Purple and So Grey. Do note the slight change in color of the frame and camera module for the Indian market. It looks much better than the global variant that has the same color on the entire back.

Nokia Mobile has left no stone unturned this time and hopefully will get positive results soon. With recent phone launches there has been a visible change in the pricing strategy and the G42 5G takes it even further which shows Nokia Mobile India is finally in it and trying to win it. Time will tell the rest, but one thing is clear, Nokia Mobile will be getting the much-needed attention they have lost since 2019.
