Just yesterday, Nokia Mobile teased the launch of a rugged phone that will not need a case for protection. Lucky members of the Nokia Community forums didn't have to wait too long to get a glimpse of this exciting Nokia smartphone. Through a banner on the home page of the Nokia Community forum, Nokia Mobile has given us all a very first look at the upcoming rugged smartphone that's going to be launched on 27th July.
I couldn't control my excitement the moment I saw this on the community forum. Nokia Mobile has changed its marketing style and I really like this new one. Nokia Community forum is finally getting some much-needed love
again and I hope to see this continue.
The phone in the image above is the upcoming Nokia XR20 and I am sure that most of you will appreciate the design of this Nokia smartphone. I love that blue color. This phone will do great in the hands of Batman if not Jame
Bond 😉. It has a solid block design with a textured back panel and a
rugged frame. The most noticeable change is the square camera housing which is a first on a Nokia smartphone. Two cameras can be seen at the back which matches the specifications mentioned in the retailer listing. So, we can now be sure that there will be a Dual Camera setup at the back with a 48MP main camera along with a 13MP Ultra-Wide camera. ZEISS branding is also visible in the middle along with what appears
to be two separate flash modules. The speaker grill, USB Type C port, microphone and headphone jack are at the bottom of the phone.
A rugged smartphone will be incomplete without an IP rating for Water and Dust resistance and the image hints that the Nokia XR20 will have some kind of water resistance. The expected specifications of the Nokia XR20 are as follows:

Nokia Mobile offers three major os upgrades and three years of security patches to its X series smartphones. Nokia XR20 will be a rugged smartphone that's made to last longer so it will be interesting to see if Nokia Mobile also offers longer software support for this particular phone. Judging by the launch prices of the Nokia X10 and the Nokia X20, don't expect the rugged Nokia XR20 to be cheap. It's easy to guess that the Nokia XR20 will be expensive than the Nokia X20 and we will only get to know the official price on 27th July 2021.
