Nokia Mobile just launched the Nokia G20 in India but that's not all that is coming to the country. From the recent promotional images and BIS approvals, we know that Nokia Mobile will bring the Nokia X10 and Nokia X20 as well.
Apart from these smartphones, Nokia C01 Plus is also coming to India. The phone carrying the model number TA-1396 has just received the BIS approval which means the launch should be near. TA-1396 is a Dual SIM variant of the Nokia C01 Plus for India and as per the info we have it should come with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. Nokia Mobile has codenamed it Iris 4G.
Nokia Mobile hasn't launched any entry-level phone in India since the Nokia
1. Nokia 1 still is the cheapest Nokia smartphone HMD Global ever sold in the Indian market and that price segment is now filled with brands like Itel
and others. This price segment might not look very important but it has the least competition for Nokia and they can bank on the trust people have in the Nokia name.
Nokia C01 Plus won't be priced so low but if Nokia Mobile launches it for around Rs.6000 or less then it should help in attracting many customers in the offline price segment. Nokia C01 Plus with 1GB RAM and 16GB ROM is sold
in Russia for around Rs.6000 so, I don't think Nokia Mobile will price the
2GB RAM variant for the Indian market cheaper than the one sold in Russia.
We can only wait for the official launch to find out the actual pricing.
