We all are aware that Nokia Mobile doesn't officially allow bootloader unlocking and the available unofficial method is a paid process. This is the reason Nokia smartphones have a bad reputation among users who want more control over their devices and love to play with different ROMs and customization options.
Things are about to change for good with the Nokia 7.2 as the device comes with an unlockable bootloader that can be unlocked in a very simple way. Below are the steps to unlock the bootloader of the Nokia 7.2.
Warnings:
- If you don't know what this then stop right here as this isn't for you. But if you want to read no one can stop you. :)
- Unlocking the bootloader will void your warranty and all the data on your phone will be erased.
Unlocking the bootloader of Nokia 7.2 is very simple and those familiar with the process will instantly what the steps are. Before you begin the process make sure you have a backup of your data and a charged-up phone.
UPDATE:
Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2 cannot be unlocked after the December 2019 MR update which has disabled the ability to unlock the bootloader on both these phones. If you want to unlock the bootloader you will have to get downgrade the phone to an older release. This can be done at a Nokia Care or you can buy a remote flashing service from TechMesto.
