Last week, a Nokia smartphone codenamed Wasp carrying the model number TA-1184 passed the FCC. Today, a new variant TA-1188 of the same smartphone passed the FCC certification process. As per the FCC data, the specifications of both the variants are exactly the same.

Just like the TA-1184, this TA-1188 is a Dual Sim smartphone and will come with 3GB RAM and 32 GB ROM. Also, as per the official statement by HMD Global written to FCC, TA-1188 supports LTE Band 40 but it will be disabled by software and won't be operational in the US market. So, maybe the Nokia TA-1188 is not for the US market.

Nokia TA-1188 will have the label located below the battery (or under the back panel?) which suggests this could be a low-end smartphone. I won't speculate on what this Nokia smartphone will be and there will be more info popping up on the internet sooner or later in the form of leaks. So, stay tuned :)
