Nokia 7 gets a new web browser, app store and many optimisations with January 2019 Android Security update

Nokia 7 which received the Android Pie update last month has started receiving a new major update which brings many improvements and bug fixes for the device along with the latest January 2019 Android Security patch. The update is 226MB in size and will require around 458MB of free disk space to install.

The update brings optimisations to Android Pie stability, background app management, app notifications and optimisations to 3rd party app compatibility. This new update also brings a new web browser and app store to the Nokia 7. If you own a Nokia 7 and haven't got the update notification then you should manually check for the update by going to Settings > System > System updates. Below is the screenshot:
