Nokia Mobile has started pushing the December 2018 Android Security update for their 1st gen Nokia 3 in India. The update is small at just 84 MB in size and just brings the monthly security patch and not the Android 8.1 update which was rolled out to Nokia 3 in many different markets.
The Android 8.1 update for Nokia 3 seems to be delayed for India. There could be many factors which lead to such delays and we hope that Nokia Mobile will release the update soon for the Indian market.
If you haven't received the update notification we suggest you to manually check for the update by going to Settings > System > System Update. You can learn more about the monthly security updates by visiting Android Security Bulletin.
