EXCLUSIVE | Check out the fingerprint unlock animations of Nokia 9 PureView

Nokia 9 PureView - The Nokia smartphone that we all have been waiting for over a long period of time is rumoured to be launched in the coming weeks. Nokia 9 PureView is confirmed to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset and as per the recent leaks, the other features of the device are a 5.99" 2K resolution display, 6GB RAM + 128 GB ROM, Qi Wireless Charging and an In-Display fingerprint scanner.

As you already got a hint from the title, we will be sharing some cool and exciting info about the In-Display fingerprint scanner in this post. We found some images and animations related to the In-Display fingerprint scanner in the settings.apk of the Nokia 9 PureView. The image that you see below is of the fingerprint scanner indicator which will help users locate the fingerprint scanner placed under the display to unlock the device quickly without wasting time searching its location. The following string was also found inside the app indicating the same.

"Locate the fingerprint sensor at the bottom of the front of your phone."

The below two images are also present in the APK and are for demoing the process of registering the fingerprint to unlock the phone just like we have an animation in other Nokia smartphones with fingerprint scanners. The only difference here is that the fingerprint scanner is under the display as seen in the two images which also form a rough outline of the Nokia 9 PureView.

All smartphones having an In-Display fingerprint scanner also display some cool futuristic looking animations while unlocking. Nokia 9 PureView will also display some cool animations and we also found those in the settings APK. There are a total of 3 animations to choose from and you can see all three animations in the videos below:

With every passing day, we are getting closer and closer to the official launch of the Nokia 9 PureView. We still don't know if this camera phone from Nokia Mobile will be launched this month or if the launch has been pushed in February for MWC. It will be powered by the last year's SD845 chipset but it has that Penta Lens camera which alone could be a game changer if it really is capable of taking some amazing pictures with its five eyes (we hope it meets the expectations). That being said, the device also has to be launched at the right time (which already is late) and at a good price for it to compete against the upcoming flagships of the competitors.
