Nokia is promising a "Pure, Secure and Up to date" Android experience and they have stayed true to their promise. All of their 2017 models which were launched with Android Nougat have been updated to Android Oreo in a short span of time (Nokia 2 will join them this June).
And they are the only company in the entire Android World to do that. Even some of the 2017 flagships haven't been updated to Android Oreo yet. Hmd Global is also the only company which has made all of its smartphones as a part of the Android One program. This guarantees a minimum of two years of OS updates and three years of security updates. Hmd Global is doing a great job in terms of keeping their phones updated and this has become one of their Unique Selling Points.
Just before the start of the Nokia Mobile launch event in Moscow, HMD Global's Global Marketing Manager, Neil Broadley, told Android Authority that the entire range of Nokia smartphones will be updated to Android P.
This is a great news for all of us. It is no small feat to update the entire range for two years. This shows HMD Global's commitment towards their devices and consumers.
Here is the list of Nokia phones which will be getting Android P:
- Nokia 1
- Nokia 2
- Nokia 2.1
- Nokia 3
- Nokia 3.1
- Nokia 5
- Nokia 5.1
- Nokia 6
- Nokia 6.1
- Nokia 7
- Nokia 7 plus
- Nokia 8
- Nokia 8 Sirocco
